I have some exciting news to share with you regarding my terms and conditions, as well as some changes that will take effect from 2025.
Firstly, I am thrilled to announce that despite the rising costs of materials and other expenses, I have decided not to increase my prices. That’s right! I will continue to work with the same prices (200.- per hour) that I have had for the past four years (since 2021), ensuring that my services remain affordable and accessible to all.
However, I kindly request that all clients, whether new or returning, arrive on time for their appointments. Punctuality is crucial to ensure a smooth and efficient tattooing process.
To secure your tattoo appointment, a deposit must be paid. For small tattoos, the deposit is 100 CHF, while for half-day and full-day sessions, the deposits are 200 CHF and 300 CHF, respectively.
I understand that unexpected circumstances can arise, so I have a cancellation policy in place. If you need to cancel your appointment within 48 hours, I require a medical certificate from a doctor or an accident report from the police, TCS, etc. Failure to provide the necessary documentation or not showing up for your appointment will result in the forfeiture of your deposit.
To ensure that I can provide the best possible service to my clients, I have established specific working hours for both online communication and studio operations. I reply to emails and messages from Tuesday to Saturday between 10:00-20:00 as soon as I can. My studio is open from Tuesday to Friday between 11:00-19:00 and on Saturdays from 11:00-17:00.
For consultations and meetings, I have designated time slots available from Tuesday to Saturday between 11:30-11:45, 15.00-15:15 and 18:45-19:00. Please note that all meetings require prior bookings via my online calendar system. I offer a 15-minute meeting free of charge, while a 30-minute meeting for pre-design work is available at a fee of 50 CHF. For a more in-depth 60-minute meeting for pre-design, there is a fee of 100 CHF.
When it comes to tattoo appointments, I start working at the earliest at 12:00. For small tattoos that require approximately 1-1.25 hours of work, the fee is 200 CHF, which includes 15 minutes of free designing. Additionally, I offer one touch-up session free of charge within 6-12 weeks.
For those interested in half-day sessions, which typically last 3.5-4 hours, the fee is in the range of 600-700 CHF. This includes 30 minutes of free designing and a 30-minute break. Just like with small tattoos, one touch-up session is offered for free within 6-12 weeks.
If you’re looking for a more immersive experience, my full-day sessions may be perfect for you. Lasting 6.5-7 hours, these sessions are priced at max 1,000 CHF. They include one hour of free designing and a one-hour break. As always, I offer one touch-up session free of charge within 6-12 weeks.
Finally, I want to emphasize that as a self-employed artist, I invest a minimum of 12 hours a day into my work. Time is valuable, and I kindly ask for your understanding and respect for my dedication and limited availability. Welcome to Noémi Kovàcs – Bern Tattoo Studio! We are committed to providing a safe, hygienic, and professional environment for our clients and employees. To ensure the highest standards of quality and safety, we adhere to all local Swiss requirements and follow the “Good Practice” guidelines as set forth by the Federal Food Safety and Veterinary Office (FSVO).
Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before using the services provided by Noémi Kovács – Bern Tattoo Studio. By using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
1. Service Agreement
1.1 By booking an appointment or receiving a tattoo from Bern Tattoo Studio, you acknowledge and agree to the terms outlined in this agreement.
1.2 The services provided by Bern Tattoo Studio include tattooing and related services as agreed upon between the client and the tattoo artist.
2. Consent and Age Requirements
2.1 By receiving a tattoo from Bern Tattoo Studio, you confirm that you are 18 years of age or older.
2.2 If you are under 18 years of age, tattooing is not possible.
2.3 All clients must sign a release consent form both before and after the tattooing process to acknowledge their understanding of the risks and to provide consent for the procedure.
3. Health and Safety
3.1 You acknowledge that it is your responsibility to disclose any medical conditions, allergies, or concerns that may affect the tattooing process or your health.
3.2 Bern Tattoo Studio reserves the right to refuse service if there are any health or safety concerns.
3.3 During the procedure, the client’s skin area will be cleaned and disinfected. Disposable razors will be used if shaving is necessary, and the area will be disinfected again with an approved antiseptic. Fresh wounds will be disinfected and properly cared for throughout the procedure.
3.4 You agree to follow verbal and written aftercare instructions provided by Bern Tattoo Studio to ensure proper healing and minimize the risk of infection.
3.5 Clients will receive care instructions for fresh wounds, including advice on recognizing signs of infection and seeking medical help if necessary.
4. Design Approval and Modifications
4.1 Prior to the tattooing process, you will have the opportunity to review and approve the design.
4.2 Once the tattooing process has begun, any modifications or changes to the design may incur additional charges.
5. Payments and Deposits
5.1 Payment for tattoo services is due at the time of the appointment, unless otherwise agreed upon.
5.2 Bern Tattoo Studio requires a non-refundable deposit to secure an appointment. This deposit will be deducted from the final cost of the tattoo:
• Small tattoo: 100 CHF
• Half-day session: 200 CHF
• Full-day session: 300 CHF
5.3 Gift Certificates:
• Tattoo services can be purchased as a gift certificate.
• The gift certificate can be used as a deposit or as a payment option for tattoo services.
• Gift certificates have a one-year expiration date and are non-refundable.
6. Intellectual Property
6.1 Any original designs created by Bern Tattoo Studio remain the intellectual property of the tattoo artist.
6.2 You may not reproduce, sell, or use the design for any other purpose without the explicit consent of Bern Tattoo Studio and the tattoo artist.
7. Pricing and Tattoo Process
7.1 Tattoo pricing is based on time, complexity, and other factors as detailed below:
• Small Tattoos: 1-1.25 hours, starting at 200 CHF. Includes 15 minutes of free designing and one free touch-up within 6-12 weeks.
• Half-Day Sessions: 3.5-4 hours, priced between 600-700 CHF. Includes 30 minutes of free designing, a 30-minute break, and one free touch-up within 6-12 weeks.
• Full-Day Sessions: 6.5-7 hours, priced at a maximum of 1,000 CHF. Includes 1 hour of free designing, a 1-hour break, and one free touch-up within 6-12 weeks.
7.2 Touch-ups outside the free period (after 12 weeks) will be charged at 50 CHF/hour.
8. Booking and Consultations
8.1 Clients must book all appointments and consultations via the online calendar system.
8.2 Consultation options:
• 15-minute consultation: Free (max. 3 times per person).
• 30-minute consultation for pre-design: 50 CHF.
• 60-minute in-depth consultation: 100 CHF.
8.3 No tattoo appointments will begin earlier than 12:00.
9. Cancellation and Rescheduling
9.1 A minimum of 48 hours’ notice is required to reschedule or cancel appointments.
9.2 If cancellation occurs within 48 hours, a medical certificate or accident report is required to avoid forfeiture of the deposit.
9.3 Late arrivals will still be charged for the full appointment duration.
9.4 A charge of 50 CHF per hour will apply for any changes to the scheduled session.
10. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
10.1 These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Switzerland.
10.2 Any disputes arising from these Terms and Conditions shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Switzerland.
11. Photography and Use of Work
11.1 Bern Tattoo Studio may take photographs of the tattoo artwork for promotional purposes, including social media, website, and print materials.
11.2 By receiving a tattoo from Bern Tattoo Studio, you grant the Studio the right to use these photographs without any compensation.
11.3 If you have concerns about the use of photographs, inform the Studio in writing before or immediately after the tattooing process.
12. Personal Information
12.1 Bern Tattoo Studio may collect and store personal information such as your name, contact details, and identification documents.
12.2 Your personal information will be handled in accordance with data protection laws and not disclosed to third parties without your consent, except as required by law.
13. Hygiene Standards
13.1 Bern Tattoo Studio strictly adheres to hygiene protocols, including the use of disposable needles and equipment sterilization.
13.2 Practitioners follow “Professional Hygiene” and “First Aid” standards, and the studio is regularly inspected for compliance.
14. Final Agreement
