Deciding on your next tattoo can be exciting, but I know it often comes with a million questions. And guess what? I’ll probably have just as many! Even if you walk in and tell me, “I just want a little heart,” believe me—I’ll have at least five questions ready for you, and you might not be prepared to answer them right away. Don’t worry, that’s completely normal!
This is exactly why we have a 15-minute consultation. It’s a personal meeting where I’ll guide you through these questions, helping you decide or even giving you some “homework” to think about.
Let’s take that little heart as an example. I’d need to know:
• What shape and form do you want?
• What size are you imagining?
• What color should it be? Black, shades of grey, or maybe even colorful?
• Should we keep it as an outline, make it 3D, or fill it in completely?
• Where on your body do you want it?
Let’s say you choose your arm. Okay, is it the left or right arm? Upper or lower part? Side, middle, or somewhere random?
Then there are the practical considerations: What if you want a larger tattoo later, and this little heart ends up in the way? What if your workplace has policies about visible tattoos—will this placement be a problem?
As you can see, there are so many factors to think about, and I can’t read your mind. But that’s a good thing! As a professional artist, I consider every detail to make sure your tattoo is exactly what you want—and something you’ll love for years to come.
After our quick consultation, I’ll send you home with my tips and “homework.” Trust me, by the time your tattoo appointment rolls around, you’ll have all the answers, and deciding on your design will feel so much easier.
Let’s make your tattoo dreams a reality, step by step!
